Amritsar: A minor fire broke out at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) in Amritsar on Friday evening following a minor blast, reportedly caused by an air conditioner unit in the Chemistry lab. The incident triggered panic on campus and prompted an immediate response from fire authorities.
According to sources, a blast was heard inside one of the university buildings around noon, believed to have originated from an AC unit. Within minutes, flames were seen rising.
He also said that no major loss have been reported in this fire incident.
Firefighters rushed to the spot and were able to control the blaze before it could extend.
