A huge fire broke out in a textile factory in Kutbewal village near Bhattian area in Ludhiana, Punjab late at night. Firemen kept extinguishing the fire in the factory till 12 o’clock at night. Being a three-storey factory, flames of fire were visible from far away.
Fire caused by short circuit
The fire broke out due to a short circuit. People of the area said that there was no electricity in the area earlier, but when electricity suddenly came, sparks came out from near the factory. People informed the factory owner and the fire department about this. After this, more than 7 fire brigade vehicles controlled the fire after a lot of hard work.
Seeing the panic among the people in the area, the police of Salem Tabri police station also reached the spot and pacified the people.
According to the information, there is a factory named Vikrant Knits in Kutbewal village where T-shirts are made. Fire officer Aatish said that water was poured 10 times, but the fire could not be controlled. It took 3 to 4 hours to control the fire. The fire brigade personnel carried out rescue operations at the site till late night. There was a lot of cloth material in the factory that turned to ashes. Now ,only the factory owner can tell about the loss.
