There was a lot of commotion in Future Heights Society located on Kharar-Kurali Road on Sunday-Monday night when a car hit the boundary of the society. The grill of the society broke due to the collision of the car and a palm tree also got uprooted. After which the quarrel increased so much that bullets started firing in filmy style.
When the video of this incident went viral on social media, the police took suo motu cognizance and registered a case. At present, an FIR has been registered against unknown people. It is being told that the car driver called his friends to the spot, after which the youths of both the groups gathered there. During this, someone called the police helpline 112 and informed about the incident.
Two policemen who arrived without weapons and only with sticks got nervous seeing the crowd gathered at the spot, so they immediately informed their higher officials. Later the police reached the spot and dispersed the crowd.
An eyewitness living in the society said that after hearing the sound of bullets at night, he first thought that someone was firing firecrackers. When he came out, he got to know about the whole incident. Police have found four fired cartridges and one live cartridge from the spot. At present, a case of aerial firing has been registered against unknown people.
The car which damaged the grill and tree of the society has been taken into custody by the police. Sub-inspector Paramjit Singh, who is investigating the case, said that no arrest has been made so far. However, the crashed car is parked outside the police station.
