Jalandhar: Police have arrested 4 accused in the murder case of 2 people near Vidhipur railway crossing in Jalandhar. All four accused used to work with food delivery apps. Three associates of the accused are currently absconding. Soon, SSP Ankur Gupta of Jalandhar Rural Police will share information in the case through a press conference.
In the preliminary interrogation, the accused have admitted that the two accused who were murdered used to target delivery boys every night and loot their cash and phones.
When the Zomato delivery boy was robbed on May 26, everyone started searching for the accused. On the night of May 26, they saw Shiva and his partner Babbal, near the DAV flyover and started chasing them.
Both the accused were surrounded near Vidhipur and beaten up in which they got injured seriously. As a result of it, one of them died on the spot. while the other died in the hospital.
Soon the police will present all the four accused in the court and take them on remand and interrogate them. So that the remaining absconding accused can be arrested
