Bathinda: A gangster was shot dead last night in Rupa village of Rampura Phul town in Bathinda. The deceased gangster has been identified as Satnam alias Satti, a close associate of former gangster Lakha Sidhana. According to the police, Satti already has 4-5 criminal cases registered against him.
SP City Narinder Singh said that there was an old dispute going on between Satnam alias Satti and his neighbour Gurtej Chand. Firing took place between the two sides at night, in which Satti was hit by two bullets. He was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
During the incident, the accused climbed Satti’s house and also fired in the air. The firing has created an atmosphere of panic in the entire area. The police have started the process of recording the statements of the deceased’s family members.
However, the family members are still reluctant to talk to the media about the incident. The body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary of the government hospital in Bathinda.
