Gurdaspur: Clash over water dispute claims 4 lives, 60 round fire leaves car riddled with bullet holes

In a shocking incident, a clash between two groups over water claimed 4 lives. The shocking news is from Gurdaspur where 4 people died and several others were injured after a clash over water broke out.

As per reports, around 60 rounds of bullets were fired between the two parties in village Vithwa of Gurdaspur.

Two groups in village exchanged gunfire over dispute of water which lead to the killing of 4 people. The police have registered cases against both parties and have apprehended individuals from each group.

The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Batala. The doctor in charge at the hospital said that out of 4, 2 persons were brought dead whereas the other two were severely injured. Doctor referred them to the other hospital where they both succumbed to the injuries.

The deceased in the incident have been identified as; Baljeet Singh, Shamsher Singh, Angrej Singh and Surinder Singh. All deceased are residents of village Vithwa. Apart from 4 dead, as many as 8 people have been reported injured who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The dead bodies have been sent for autopsy after which the reason of death will be confirmed by the doctors.
