Gurdaspur: A notorious gangster was killed in a police encounter in Gurdaspur, Punjab. Who was close to Prabh Dasuwali and Doni Bal. At the same time, ASI was also shot. Due to which he got injured. Whose condition is now said to be stable. This encounter took place at around 9 pm in the area of Police Station Rangad Nangal.
The injured has been identified as ASI Shami. Who is posted in CIA. According to DIG Satinder Singh, when the police party signaled the accused to stop, he tried to escape by firing. The gangster was injured in the cross firing by the police. He was immediately admitted to the Civil Hospital in Batala, where he died during treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Singh alias Rana, a resident of village Marhi Kalan in Majitha area of Amritsar. He was a close associate of notorious criminals Prabh Dasuwali and Doni Bal. Rana was accused of being involved in several serious crimes, including the murder of Ram Gopal, a commission agent from Harike.
