Punjab: The car of Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Gurpreet Singh GP from Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, met with an accident last Sunday. When he was returning from Raikot after election campaign, the tire of his car burst on Ludhiana Malerkotla Road. Due to this the car went out of control and collided with the trees.
The GP’s wife was sitting in the back seat of the car. There was a strong shock when the car collided with a tree, due to which Gurpreet Kaur got badly injured. Punjab Genco Chairman Navjot Singh’s wife was also present with him in the back seat. He also has a fracture in his knee.
Apart from these two, there was also a driver and a gunman in the car. However, he suffered minor injuries because he was wearing a seat belt.
Gurpreet Kaur’s arm was fractured at three places in the accident. To recover from this, the doctor has advised her to undergo surgery, but Gurpreet Kaur has refused surgery at present. After getting plastered, he started election campaign again today.
He said that it is important for him to go among the people and campaign, not surgery. Gurpreet Kaur said that people have made many sacrifices to liberate our country. Even in the present times, it is necessary to save the country.
Gurpreet Kaur told that when her car met with an accident last night, she did not tell her husband GP because he was busy in campaigning. The people present at the spot helped and pulled him out of the car. After this he was taken to a private hospital in Malerkotla.
There a plaster was applied on Gurpreet Kaur’s arm. Now she will undergo surgery after the elections. For now, this is how she will campaign for her husband GP.
