The Sikh community is observing Ghallughara Day in the wake of the June 1984 tragedy, which had left every Sikh heartbroken, and they are still traumatized today. In view of this, the Guru Nanak Dev University of Amritsar has taken a big decision and postponed all the examinations scheduled for June 6.
The university has also issued a regular letter in this regard, in which it has been said that all the examinations scheduled for June 6 will be canceled.
The university has now announced the date of these postponed examinations as June 20. Although the university’s letter states that the reason for canceling the examinations is administrative reasons, it is believed that the university has conducted these examinations in view of Ghallughara Day.
