Babbar Khalsa terrorist Happy Pasia to be extradited from US to India

Amritsar, July 7: The process of bringing Babbar Khalsa terrorist Happy Pasia, involved in bomb blasts in Punjab and Chandigarh, from America to India has started. This is being considered a big success for the security agencies, which will help in breaking the link of terrorism and gangster network.

It is worth noting that on April 17, the American agency FBI had arrested Pasia from Sacramento. The FBI had also released the picture of the arrestee, in which it was said that he is responsible for the terrorist attacks in India.

Pasia entered the US illegally and used a burner phone to conceal his identity. He is currently in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Closeness to ISI and BKI, more than 14 attacks in Punjab

Happy Pasia is believed to be close to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. He carried out several grenade attacks and terrorist incidents in Punjab in collaboration with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and terrorist Rinda. According to sources, Pasia’s presence in America was known for a long time. Security agencies were keeping an eye on him.

NIA had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh on Happy Pasia in January 2025. He was declared wanted in the Chandigarh grenade attack case. He was included in the ‘wanted’ list along with his photo on the NIA website.

Know who is Happy Pasia

According to the information, the FBI and the US ICE arrested Happy Pasia on April 17, 2025, in Sacramento, California.

Happy Pasia hails from village Pasia under Ajnala in Amritsar. He started his criminal activities with gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and his US-based associates. Later, Happy Pasia became a key associate of Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Rinda, who worked under the direct supervision of Pakistan-backed ISI.

Happy Pasiya was the key handler of ISI-backed terrorist modules in Punjab and played a key role in target killings, grenade attacks on police stations and extortion across the state between 2023-2025.
