In a major development in Panchayat elections, The sarpanch was unanimously elected at Village Satoj. Let us tell you that Satoj is native village of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Harbans Singh Happy has been chosen as the Sarpanch of Satoj village.
A few days ago, the Chief Minister went to his native village. He interacted with people and appealed to them to elect a village Sarpanch unanimously. Rs 5 lakh is also given to such villages where Sarpnch is elected unanimously instead of undergoing any polling process. The fund is utilized by the Panchayat for the development works of village.
A total of three people had filled out their nomination papers out of which two candidates withdrew their papers which made consensus in favor of Harbans Singh Happy.
Gyan Singh, the cousin of the Chief Minister Mann said that Harbans Singh Happy was elected Sarpanch by unanimous consent in their village today.
