Jalandhar : A case of gang rape has come to light from Nakodar in Jalandhar district. According to the information received, the minor had came to Nakodar to pay obeisance from Sri Muktsar Sahib.
While she was looking for a room to stay for the evening, some boys took her to an empty place and gang-raped her. The police received information about this at the control room, after which the police took immediate action, registered a case and arrested the accused.
Giving more information about this, SP Jagroop Karne said that between 19-20th, a call was received at the control room from a minor who told that she was gang raped. After which, taking immediate action, a case was registered and all the eight accused were arrested.
Further action is underway in this matter. By investigating scientifically, it will be ensured that everyone gets the harshest punishment.

Reliable sources said that on the statements of the victim minor girl, Women Ins. Arshpreet Kaur and City Police Chief Ins. Sanjeev Kapoor arrested the said 8 youths, including Karan, Pawan, Mukesh Kumar Yadav resident (all three) of Sunder Nagar Nakodar, Navneet Singh, Chandan and Vikral Raj resident (three) of Azad Nagar Nakodar, Vicky resident of Mohalla Rahmanpura and Ajay Kumar resident of Vijay Nagar. A case has been registered under the POSCO Act at Police Station City Nakodar.
