Hoshiarpur (Tanda): A major accident has taken place in Hoshiarpur this morning. A bus full of passengers overturned in the village of Kurala near Tanda Udmur. This bus is said to be of a private company.
The passengers have been injured in the accident. It is a matter of relief that no casualties were reported in the accident. After receiving information about the accident, the police reached the spot. As per information, nearly 20-25 passengers have been reported injured.
The accident took place at around 9.30 am when the bus going from Talwara to Jalandhar suddenly lost control and overturned in the ditches near the road. After reaching the spot, people took the passengers out of the overturned bus and admitted them to hospitals in Tanda and Dasuha.
MLA Jasvir Singh Raja, various social service organizations and ambulances reached and contributed to the rescue operations. Doctors of Tanda Hospital referred the injured to Hoshiarpur Hospital.
