Hoshiarpur: As part of the ongoing ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’ campaign in Punjab, Police has stepped up his efforts toc urb drug trafficking, SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik visited the interstate checkpoint at Manguwal Village to oversee the ongoing inspections under Operation Seal.
Malik stated that all 11 interstate checkpoints have been staffed with necessary personnel to closely monitor and prevent illegal activities, particularly the movement of contraband, drugs, and criminals attempting to leave the state after commiting crimes.
In a significant development, Hoshiarpur police have been instructed by the competent authority to seize the property of Satpal, a drug peddler from Garhdiwala, valued at Rs. 38 Lakh. Satpal is facing multiple NDPS cases. This action is part of a broader effort, with over Rs. 20 crores worth of property already frozen in relation to drug related offenses.
Warning drug peddlers, SSP Malik emphasized that those involved in drug trafficking will be dealt with a firm hand, reiterating that they will not be spared.
