Hoshiarpur: Two dozen cows died after Gaushala lanter collapsed in Hariana

A tragic incident at Gaushala claimed the lives of two dozen cattle here in Hoshiarpur late at night. In the Hariana town of Hoshiarpur, a lantern suddenly collapsed in the Sewa Ram Murti Kishore Gaushala late last night. It killed about two dozen animals. As per information, about ten animals have been rescued, while the rescue operation is still on.

As soon as the roof of the gaushala collapsed, people nearby came into action. The trapped animals were rescued by the people present in the gaushala. The rescue team was also called, which carried out the work to take out the trapped cattle under the debris.

Police were also informed about the incident, which claimed the lives of over two dozen cattle. As soon as the information was shared, the police reached the spot and started their investigation.

Last night two dozen cows died due to a sudden lanter collapse here at Sewa Ram Murti Kishore Gaushala late last night in Hoshiarpur, while more than half a dozen cows were rescued by the rescue team. Injured animals are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to sources, the lanter is said to be quite old, while the newly constructed building was used to store a lot of straw for the animals.

Dr. Kas USD Manmohan Singh Dardi, who reached the spot, said that the team reached the spot after receiving the information and, with the help of JCB, the animals are being rescued while the injured are being treated.
