Illegal liquor smuggler arrested in Jagraon, 80 bottles recovered

Ludhiana: In Jagraon, Punjab, the police have arrested an illegal liquor smuggler who was running the business from his house. The accused Manjit Singh is a resident of Kholia Wala Pul Malasia Bajhan, against whom three cases are already registered.

According to ASI Sukhmander Singh, in charge of the outpost Giddavidi of Sidhwan Bet police station, during patrolling, he received secret information that Manjit was selling illegal liquor from his house. The police took immediate action and raided his house located near the shrine of Peer Baba Ghorian Wale.

In the raid, the police recovered 80 bottles of illegal liquor kept in plastic cans. The accused failed to escape due to plaster on his leg and the police caught him on the spot.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that he used to buy liquor at a low price and sell it from his house. The police have produced the accused in the court and are now searching for the person who used to supply illegal liquor to the accused. The case has been registered at Sidhwan Bet police station.
