Amritsar: The executive meeting of SGPC was held today in the head office of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) here in Amritsar. During the meeting, important resolutions were passed.
Paying respects to the former Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Balwant Singh Nandgarh who passed away today, mool mantra was chanted. Following this the SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the sound system of Sachkhand Shri Darbar Sahib has become very old and the resolution to change it has been passed today.
SGPC president also said, Live broadcast of Gurdwara Shaheedganj Sahib will be withdrawn from private cable and will now be done live from SGPC’s facebook page.
Speaking further, he said that a committee of SGPC was formed by Mr. Akal Takht Sahib, which was passed on the case of sacrilege at Gurdwara Akal Bunga Sahib two days before the Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and his report has now been prepared which will be given to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib after three days.
Accordingly, instructions have been given to wear pajama with a Chola, which is the uniform code that has been implemented. Speaking further, he said that the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji will be celebrated with great respect on the land of Patna Sahib on January 17, the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji will also be celebrated on January 17 at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib. It will be celebrated with reverence and respect on January 17.
Atishbaji Deepmala will also be performed at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, but on January 10, a great Nagar Kirtan will be taken out from the land of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Anandpur Sahib and this Nagar Kirtan will be 600 km long and on January 16 This kirtan will arrive at Shri Damdama Sahib.
