4 lakh rupees stolen in Amritsar robbery: Investigations underway

Amritsar: Incidents of robbery and theft have started increasing again in Amritsar. Thieves do not seem to have any fear of the police. Late on Saturday night, thieves broke into Mother Dairy ice cream distributor’s house. The thieves not only stole cash worth four lakhs but also left the door of the cold storage open, which resulted in the loss of goods worth four lakhs.

Govinda Rabadi, owner of Mother Dairy distributor Om Agency located in Mall Mandi, said that he has the work of distributing Mother Dairy ice cream in Amritsar. The thieves broke in around 4 am. They first searched the storeroom, where nothing was found. Ice cream boxes were kept there. When they rummaged through the stuff there and did not find anything, they then went from the storeroom to the office. While leaving, they left the storeroom door open, due to which ice cream worth about 4 lakhs kept there melted. After this, the thieves went towards the office and broke the glass and entered inside and took away Rs 4.29 lakh of two days’ earnings kept in the cash box. At present, the police have been informed about the matter.

At the same time, the police officers who reached the spot are investigating the matter thoroughly, and CCTV cameras are also being scanned. Police say that the accused will be arrested soon in this case. Police said that yes, the ADCP office is a short distance from here, but the thieves took advantage of the darkness of the night and committed the theft, but soon the police will arrest these thieves.
