A case of a Punjabi girl killed due to gunshot wounds has come to light in Canada. Let us tell you that the deceased has been identified as Harsimrat Randhawa. She was an international student from India and was shot dead during a gangland-style shooting in the Ontario town of Hamilton
According to the information received, Harsimrat Randhawa was a resident of village Dhundan in Tarn Taran. She was studying in Mohawk College in Canada and was standing at a bus stop while going to work when she was shot and died. The police are investigating the matter.
Ontario Police in this matter said, “It is believed that female was an innocent bystander struck by a stray bullet during a shooting in the area.”
Consulate General of India also reacted to the matter. The Consulate General of India, Toronto tweeted “We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Indian student Harsimrat Randhawa in Hamilton, Ontario. As per local police, she was an innocent victim, fatally struck by a stray bullet during a shooting incident involving two vehicles. A homicide investigation is currently underway. We are in close contact with her family and are extending all necessary assistance.
