Jalandhar: India’s largest airline IndiGo has launched flight operations between Adampur Airport and Mumbai. The nonstop flight by India’s largest low-cost carrier will connect Jalandhar with the financial capital of the country.
As per the information, the flight connecting connecting Jalandhar and Mumbai will be operational from March 2025. Adampur Airport is located 21 km from Jalandhar, which is Punjab’s third-largest city known for its sports market. The direct flight will provide a major boost to the industry not to the city but to the entire state.
As per officials, the flight will be operational all 7 days of the week. A 186-seater aircraft of IndiGo will be introduced on the said route. Currently, Star Asia is the only carrier at Adampur.It operates daily non-stop Embraer E175 flights to Delhi (Hindon) under the UDAN scheme.
Flight operations between Jalandhar and Mumbai will be beneficial not only for traders but for other commuters as well. It takes more than 24 Hours to reach Mumbai from Jalandhar via train. With flight service available nonstop, the travel time will be reduced significantly giving people much ease.
