Interstate arms smuggling busted in Amritsar: Two members arrested with 2 foreign pistols

The Special Cell of Amritsar Rural Police of Punjab has taken a major action against illegal weapons and busted an interstate smuggling gang. Police have succeeded in arresting two members of the gang. Police have recovered two illegal pistols and a motorcycle from their possession.

According to police officials, the accused have been arrested after secret information. After the information, the police conducted a raid and arrested both the accused. During the raid, two foreign pistols were also recovered. Which have been taken into custody.

The police are investigating whether these weapons were used to commit a crime. Right now, the police are not sharing more information about this. A press conference will be held soon in this regard.

Suspected to be connected to a big network

Further legal action has been initiated against the arrested accused and it is also being investigated whether they are connected to any big illegal arms smuggling network. The police has appealed to the general public that if they get information about any suspicious activity, then immediately inform the local police.
