ITI transformed into IIT skill centre of excellence at Ludhiana will be inaugurated soon. These are the words of Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney. Vikramjit Singh Sahney in a post on X said that IIT Skill Centre of Excellence here at Ludhiana is almost ready to be inaugurated with the latest machines like 3D printing, Robotic Welder, CNC Lathe, etc. Assuring the commitment to change the skill map of Punjab, he added that 10 more ITIs across Punjab are being upgraded with the latest machinery, infrastructure and with placement cells.

Earlier during a program, Sahney announced the establishment of 10 world-class skill development skill Centres in Punjab. He added that these centres will be established across Punjab to empower youth of the state. The centres in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Punjab will be operational by the month of September whereas a mega skill centre is successfully running at Amritsar.
