Jaggu Bhagwanpuria member arrested with 6 pistol, 10 catridges

Amritsar: Amritsar’s counter intelligence team has succeeded in arresting a member of a gang smuggling illegal weapons under an intelligence operation. Police have arrested Gurbaj Singh associated with the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang.

The police have recovered six .32 bore pistols and ten live cartridges from him. Initial investigation has revealed that these weapons were smuggled from Madhya Pradesh to Punjab for criminal activities. It is suspected that these weapons were to be used in gang wars, contract killings and other illegal activities.

Police is trying to dismantle the entire network

Counter intelligence teams are now conducting a thorough investigation to identify the entire supply chain and other associates of this gang. The aim of the police is to root out this illegal arms smuggling network. According to Punjab Police, more arrests may be made in this case.

The arrested accused Gurbaj Singh is an active member of the notorious criminal Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang, which has been involved in crimes like murder, robbery and extortion in Punjab and surrounding states. Many cases have been registered against this gang earlier and it is often associated with the supply of illegal weapons.

Punjab Police says it is fully committed to eliminate illegal arms supply and gangster culture in the state.
