Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s right hand Kannu Gujjar nabbed by Jalandhar Police after encounter

Jalandhar: In a recent development, gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s right-hand Kannu Gujjar was nabbed by Jalandhar Police after a brief encounter. As per the information received, Kannu Gujjar got critically injured after the retaliatory fire by the police party.

Kannu Gujjar is a notorious gangster and was wanted in several cases of heinous crimes including murder, extortion, and racketeering.

During the encounter between the Police party and Kannu Gujjar, a total of nine shots were fired from both sides during the encounter. Police also recovered 2 weapons from the encounter site.

The encounter between Jalandhar Police and the Notorious Gangster Kannu Gujjar took place near a 66ft road in Jalandhar West area. Following a tip off, the Jalandhar police went to nab Kannu Gujjar and then following an exchange of fire between both, Kannu Gujjar was arrested. It is being learnt that around nine shots were fired during the encounter and during the exchange of fire Kannu Gujjar was injured seriously. Right now he is at Civil Hospital and undergoing treatment.

According to the police, it is one of the major arrest made by the police and soon the police will address media about this encounter and will share other important details.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav also took to X and shared information from the encounter between Kannu Gujjar and Jalandhar Police. In a post on X he said, “In a major breakthrough, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police arrests Kannu Gujjar, a notorious gangster and close associate of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, after a brief encounter. Kannu Gujjar was critically injured in the encounter and is currently receiving medical treatment. The recovered weapons include 8 pistols, 55 live rounds and 8 cartridges. Previously 8 FIRs of heinous crime were registered against Kannu Gujjar.”
