Jalandhar: In Abadpura, located in Jalandhar’s Division Number Six, a 14-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself at home. Her family is in disbelief, unable to accept that their daughter could take such a horrifying step. Following her death, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the family, and the local community is also shocked by the incident. The deceased was a student at Dayawanti Government School.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police from Thana-6 arrived at the scene and began their investigation. Reports suggest that the girl went to school as usual that day. After returning home in the afternoon, she went to her room and hanged herself. Later in the evening, when her family members entered her room, they were stunned to find her body hanging from the ceiling fan.
As the family cried out in shock, nearby residents gathered, and the police were notified. The police took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. They are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
