Jalandhar-based sisters shot in New Jersey; one dead, accused hails from Nakodar

New Jersey: In a shocking incident that unfolded in New Jersey, USA, a youth opened fire on two sisters in broad daylight. The sisters shot are from Jalandhar, Punjab. In this incident of shotting one reportedly died on spot while the other sister is in critical condition undergoing treatment. The youth who carried out the incident also hails from Punjab and is a resident of Nakodar, Jalandhar.

The accused has been identified as Gaurav Gill, a resident of village of Hussainpur, Nakodar. The deceased in the firing has been identified as 29-year-old Jasveer Kaur, a resident of Noormahal. Jasveer Kaur’s 20-year-old sister was injured in the incident, whose condition is critical. She is undergoing treatment in America.

The police have arrested the main accused in the case. Gaurav Gill was arrested by the authorities a few hours after the women were shot on Wednesday morning. According to the information received, Jasveer Kaur was married and her husband drives a truck in America.

The arrested accused Gaurav and the 20-year-old girl used to study together in Jalandhar. Both knew each other when they were in Jalandhar.

According to the information, after the attack, the police arrested the accused from his house. CCTV footage of which has also surfaced. In the CCTV, the US police can be seen taking the accused into custody. The police have also recovered the murder weapon from the accused.
