Jalandhar: A 23-year-old Youth from Jalandhar, who was missing in London for the past three days has been found dead. Gurashman Bhatia had gone to London last year where he was pursuing his post-graduation from Loughborough University. He attended university on December 15 and was last seen in Canary Wharf, east London. Harpreet Singh, father of Gurashman Bhatia had left for London yesterday is a Jalandhar-based businessman. As per reports, the body of the deceased was found in a River.
Bhatia was last spotted with his friends on December 15 after his birthday party. After party, he had a conversation with his parents following which he went missing. As per reports, CCTV footage of the area showed that the youth died from drowning in the lake.
Earlier, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also appealed Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help parents trace the whereabouts of Gurashman Bhatia. He wrote on X that “Bhatia has been missing since December 15. Last seen in Canary Wharf, East London. We draw the attention of Jaishankar ji and urge him to join efforts to find him.”
