Jalandhar Congress candidate again in controversy: says If government is formed, we will open Wagah border

Jalandhar : Congress candidate from Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat and former CM Charanjit Singh Channi raised questions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally.

During a press conference at his home on Saturday morning, Channi said that PM Narendra Modi’s rally was a complete flop. People were called from eight districts, but still only 2 to 2.5 thousand people could be mobilized.

This shows what is the position of BJP in Punjab and how much people will vote for them. Channi gave a controversial statement while talking to the media. In which Channi announced that after the formation of our government in the country, we will open the Wagah border of Punjab. So that if the people of Pakistan want to come to Punjab for treatment, they can come. This will boost medical tourism in Jalandhar.

Channi said – PM did not make a single announcement for Punjab

Congress candidate Charanjit Singh Channi said, the Prime Minister of the country had come to our city. I thought that many good announcements would be made for the district today. But PM Modi came to Jalandhar and did not make any announcement. PM has disappointed the people of Jalandhar. Channi said that, we had demanded that Adampur Airport of Jalandhar should be named after Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj, but that too was not done.

Channi said- We will revive the industry in Jalandhar

Channi further said- PM Modi has disappointed Jalandhar, but the Congress party will not allow this to happen. Channi said- We will revive the industry in Jalandhar. Near the elections, a big government hospital, big government schools and colleges will be opened in Jalandhar. He said that, if our government comes to power at the Centre, we will bring MSP guarantee law. Adampur airport will be named on Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj.
