Jalandhar: Four accused have been arrested by the rural police so far in connection with the blind double murder near Vidhipur gate in Jalandhar district. Today, SSP Angur Gupta of Jalandhar Rural Police shared detailed information about it. SSP Gupta said that both the robbers who were murdered had looted the delivery boys. Angered by this, the accused committed the murder.
After which the accused posted a message in their WhatsApp group and told that one of our colleagues was looted. As soon as the robbery was known, everyone stopped their work and started searching for the robbers. They found the robbers near Maqsuda Chowk. The accused chased the robbers and reached near Vidhipur gate and took them there and together killed the three robbers.
Three accused named in the case are still absconding, for whose arrest the police is continuously conducting raids. On May 27, the body of a young man was found near Vidhipur gate. Along with this, the young man was found seriously injured. He died during treatment.
Jalandhar Rural SSP Ankur Gupta said that as soon as the information about the murder was received, the police of police station Maqsooda and the teams of CIA staff started investigating the case together. CCTV footages were checked to find out the trace of accused and robbers.
It was revealed that on the night of 26th, the robber had looted the mobile from the Zomato delivery boy. After this, all the Zomato delivery boys started were searching for the robbers.
The police have arrested four accused after investigation, three accused are still absconding.
