Jalandhar: The city police team in Jalandhar, Punjab has encountered two henchmen of gangster Sonu Khatri this morning. Both the miscreants have been shot. This action was taken by the CIA staff team of the city police near Suchi Pind crematorium. The team was led by Jalandhar CIA staff in-charge Surinder Singh Kamboj.
According to preliminary information, the CIA team had received information that there was movement of gangsters at the said place, based on the information, the team raided and tried to arrest the accused. But the accused opened fire on seeing the police party. In which the police personnel narrowly escaped. After which the police immediately opened fire on both the gangsters in retaliation. Both were injured. About 10 bullets were fired at each other at the spot.
2 sophisticated weapons were recovered from the accused
According to sources connected to Jalandhar Police, the police have recovered two sophisticated weapons from the two injured gangsters. This morning, the CIA staff team received a secret information that there was movement of some henchmen of Sonu Khatri gang at the said place. They are planning to commit a big crime in Punjab. After which CIA staff in-charge Surinder Singh Kamboj reached there with his team to set a trap. According to the information received, the team was chasing the accused when the accused opened fire.
City police personnel suffered minor injuries
Thankfully, no employee was shot. But some city police employees have definitely suffered minor injuries. At the same time, the condition of the criminals injured in the encounter also remains serious. Senior officials of the city police have reached the spot. Under the supervision of senior officials, the injured criminals have been immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. Soon after interrogating the accused, other weapons will also be recovered.
