Jalandhar: Sushil Rinku, Charanjit Channi and Mohinder Singh KP files their nomination for LS Polls

Jalandhar : Today is the fourth day of filing nominations for Lok Sabha Elections-2024 in Punjab. BJP candidate Sushil Rinku, Congress candidate Charanjit Channi and Akali Dal candidate Mahinder Singh KP filed their nomination papers today in Jalandhar.

The candidates reached the office of the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, where D. C. In the courtroom of Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal submitted their nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections.

Along with Charanjit Singh Channi, Pratap Singh Bajwa was also present in the office of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner.

Meanwhile, talking to the media, Akali Dal candidate Mahinder Singh KP said that this time there is a five-way contest and Akali Dal is fully prepared. This time the influence of Akali Dal is visible in villages as well as cities. About his opponents, he said that this time there is a five-way contest, but many parties have also entered the fray.

It is to be noted that on the second day of filing nominations for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha general elections, i.e. on May 8, Neetu Shatranwala filed his nomination papers as an independent candidate and opened an account for filing nominations in Jalandhar.

Neetu Shatranwala along with his family members reached the administrative office and Submitted his documents in the courtroom.

Meanwhile, Dr. Himanshu said that the nominations can be submitted till May 14 from 11 am to 3 pm. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on May 15 and the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is May 17.

68 nomination papers have been filed by 61 candidates from May 7 to May 9 in Punjab.
