In Punjab, 56% voting has taken place in Jalandhar West assembly seat till 7 pm. Voting started at 7 am. It will continue till 6 pm. but after 6 pm there are ques outside the polling boots.

BJP workers have caught a person. A list has been recovered from him. The list has names of some people. In which it has been said to give 2 thousand rupees each.

Jalandhar: Voter Turnout till 3 pm- 42.60%

Till 3 pm, 42.60% voter turnout has been registered. The voting will take place till 6pm.

BJP accuses distribution of money

BJP workers have accused a person of distributing money. They said that a slip was found with him on which two thousand rupees were written along with his name. There was a lot of commotion at the spot. Police reached the spot

Sheetal Angural Creates ruckus, alleges Outside leaders are sitting at AAP party booths.

Earlier, BJP leader Sheetal Angural created a ruckus as he alleged that outside leaders are there at the booths of AAP. Meanwhile, the BJP candidate created a ruckus outside the polling booth. Former MLA Sheetal Angural alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party has deployed workers from outside districts at the polling booths. The Aam Aadmi Party has run out of workers in the city.

Voter turnout till 9 am- 10.30%

Polling in Jalandhar West constituency began at 7 am. As per the data provided by the Election Commission of India, 10.30% voter turnout has been registered till 9 am.

By-election is being held on Jalandhar West assembly seat in Punjab today on Wednesday. Voting started from 7 am on Wednesday which will continue till 6 pm.

There are a total of 1,71,963 voters on this seat. These include 89,629 men and 82,326 women. Also, there are eight third-gender voters in the said area. A total of 181 polling stations have been set up.

Strict security arrangements have been made for voting. 700 security personnel have been deployed here. This seat is considered to be a triangular contest as prominent faces of AAP, BJP and Congress are in the battle.

In this fight former MLA Sheetal Angural from BJP, former BJP minister’s son Mohinder Bhagat from AAP and former senior deputy mayor Surinder Kaur from Congress are contesting against each other.

The specialty of this seat is that every time a new party has been winning the election from here. BJP won the seat from here in 2012, Congress in 2017 and AAP in 2022.
