Kabaddi player in Jalandhar commits suicide, read to know why

Jalandhar: A 29-year-old youth in Shahkot town of Jalandhar committed suicide after being upset with the assault and insult at the police station. The deceased had also made a video before dying and then hanged himself in his house. The deceased has been identified as Gurvinder Singh son of Kewal Krishan resident of Budhanwal, Shahkot (Jalandhar).

In this case, the police have registered a case against his friend police employee Raman, his wife Jyoti and mother-in-law, resident of Budhanwal, on the statements of the deceased’s father. At present, the arrest of all the accused in the case is pending. Soon they will be arrested and questioned. Shahkot police station SHO Aman Saini has confirmed the registration of FIR.

There was a dispute with the police employee’s wife

Gurvinder used to visit his police employee friend Raman’s house quite often. But on the previous day Gurvinder had gone to Raman’s house. During this, he had an argument with Raman’s wife Jyoti over something and the matter escalated to a fight. Jyoti complained about this to the police including Raman and mother-in-law. Gurvinder was called to the police station for questioning in this complaint.

When Gurvinder was called to the police station at around midnight yesterday, Gurvinder’s family went to eat with some people from the village and somehow brought Gurvinder home. There Gurvinder told his family that the police harassed him a lot, but he was not at fault. The family explained a lot to Gurvinder and then the family went to sleep late at night.

During this time, when Gurvinder’s mother knocked on the door at night, he did not open the door. After which, when the window branch was cut and looked at, Gurvinder was hanging from a noose. Gurvinder’s body was in a very bad condition, so the police somehow brought Gurvinder down with great difficulty and took him to a private hospital in Shahkot, where the doctors declared him dead immediately.
