Khanna: roof of room collapsed, 8 injured

Khanna: In Punjab’s Khanna village Faizgarh, the roof of a room collapsed late in the evening. 8 workers who were in the room have been reported injured.  Out of these, 5 workers buried under the debris after the roof of the room collapsed. The villagers pulled the people out and rushed them to the civil hospital.

On the other hand, sensing the situation, SMO Dr. Maninder Singh Bhasin called several doctors on emergency duty, and treatment of the injured was started. The injured were identified as Mohammad Kaleem (45), Mohammad Kalam (50), Hardev Shah (60), Mohammad Qasim (50), Salahuddin (45), Mohammad Shahid (60), Mohammad Sadiq (55), Mohammad Latif (55).

According to the information, these workers, who are residents of the Motihari district of Bihar, work in the field for a farmer in Khanna’s village Faizgarh and live in a room built in the fields. After finishing work late on Friday evening, 6 workers were resting on the roof while two of them were cooking food. When  the roof collapsed. All 6 workers resting on the roof and the two workers sitting below got trapped in the debris

Hearing the clatter, the villagers gathered and pulled the workers out. They were rushed to the hospital by the villagers nearby where they recieved treatment from the doctors.
