Ludhiana: An aircraft is under repair at the Sahnewal airport as it hit a bird while landing.
The incident occured on Wednesday when aircraft was around 10 km from the runway and was preparing for landing. In the incident, one wing of the aircraft was damaged.
No Passenger onboard
Fortunately, there was no passenger onboard at the time of the incident. However, pilot and ground crew managed to land the aircraft safely.
The team of engineers are working to repair the aircraft.
Alternate aircraft used to continue operations
According to Sahnewal airport authority an alternate aircraft has been used to continue the operations at the airport. They reassured the public of the continued functionality of the Ludhiana-Hindon flight route.
