Ludhiana: The bodies of four youths who had gone to bathe in Sutlej river have been recovered. The recovery of the bodies came after three days when four youths drowned in river. In another case, the body of another youth has also been recovered by divers who had drowned in the river about 10 days ago. The deceased youths who drowned have been identified as Ehsan, Misbahul, Shamim and Zaheer.
The body of the youth who drowned 10 days ago has also been found by the divers. The name of the youth who drowned 10 days ago is Aryan. The bodies of Misbahul and Ehsan were recovered by the police 1 day ago. Aryan’s body was found yesterday and today the dead bodies of Shamim and Zaheer were taken out from the river by divers.
For the last 3 days, the police had deployed NDRF and diving teams to search for the youths who had gone missing in the Sutlej river.
At present, the police have sent the bodies of both the deceased youths to the civil hospital for post-mortem and further investigation has been started.
What is the case?
On Sunday afternoon, six youths from Ludhiana went for bathe in the Sutlej River. Out of six, two youths who drowned were saved by the nearby people. Later both of them rushed and told their families about the incident. Rescue teams were in the river for the last 70 hours. The police recovered the bodies of 4 friends and a 10-day-old dead body from the river.
