Ludhiana: CBI apprehends four accused of FCI for accepting bribe

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended four accused including Manager (Quality) & two technical assistant (TA) of FCI, Mullanpur Dhaka, Ludhiana (Punjab), and a private person in a case related to acceptance of Rs. 50,0000 bribe from the complainant.

A case was registered on 21.05.2024 by CBI against Manager (Quality) and a Technical Assistant (TA), of FCI, Mullanpur Dhaka, Ludhiana (Punjab) on allegations that said accused Manager (Quality) and TA demanded a bribe of Rs.1,05,000 @ Rs.3000 per truck from the complainant in lieu of passing consignments of his rice mill.

CBI laid a trap and caught said Manager (Quality) & two Technical Assistant of FCI and a private person during the trap proceedings related to the acceptance of Rs. 50,000 bribe from the complainant.

Searches were conducted at five locations at residential and official premises of the accused during which incriminating documents have been recovered.

The investigation by CBI is underway.
