Ludhiana: A man and a woman robbed a jeweller’s shop at Quality Chowk in Ludhiana, Punjab. The woman is also captured stealing the anklet on CCTV. When the shopkeeper’s son, who was at home, suddenly checked the CCTV cameras, he saw that the woman had stolen the anklet and kept it under her dupatta.
After this, she left the shop with her partner. When the shopkeeper’s son Amit followed the woman, she reached another jeweller’s shop. There too, she started asking the shopkeeper to show the anklet.
Giving information, jeweller Amardeep told the police that the woman had also stolen the anklet from his shop. According to Amardeep, when the CCTV cameras were checked, the woman’s cunningness came to the fore.
He immediately informed the Basant Park police post of Shimlapuri police station. Both used to come to Ludhiana and commit fraud. The police personnel who reached the spot caught the woman and her partner. The woman and her partner had come to Ludhiana from Dhuri and were duping people. Meanwhile, in this case, station Incharge Gurmeet Singh said that both parties have been called. The matter is being investigated. Negotiations for settlement are also going on between the two parties.
