Due to some reasons, a massive fire broke out at the Wariana dump in Jalandhar, Punjab, late at night. Wariana dump is one of the biggest dumps in the state. More than 25 fire brigade vehicles that reached the spot were continuously working to extinguish the fire. At present, the cause of the fire is not clear.

Fire brigade teams are investigating this. Action will be taken in the matter after the cause of the fire is revealed. The fire in Wariana dump engulfed one garbage mountain after another. The fire had spread all around. The fire department was informed about the fire by passersby.

Fire brigade vehicles were also called from nearby towns

Fire department teams said – More than 25 vehicles have been engaged in controlling the fire and rescue is currently underway. The garbage dump was set on fire by mischievous miscreants. At the same time, information about the entire incident was also given to Jalandhar Mayor Vineet Dhir and DFO Jaswant Singh.

Mayor Vineet Dhir directed that as many fire brigade vehicles as possible should reach the spot so that no untoward situation arises. Along with Jalandhar city, fire brigade vehicles are also reaching the spot from nearby towns Nakodar, Kartarpur, Adampur and Kapurthala district.
