Chandigarh: Today, in the 332nd General House meeting of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, the first mayor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress alliance Kuldeep Kumar presented the budget of Rs 2325.21 crore of Chandigarh city.
On the occasion of the launch of the budget, AAP and Congress senior leader Kuldeep Kumar, Chairman and Co-in-charge of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, AAP Chandigarh Dr. SS Ahluwalia and Congress President H.S. Lucky thanked all the Councilors and especially Councilors Poonam Kumari, Neha Musawat and Gurcharanjit Singh Kala for giving them the opportunity to serve the people of Chandigarh by voting for them.
Mayor Kuldeep Kumar in the budget promises to provide facilities to the residents of the city which includes, infrastructure, health facilities, management of stray dogs, construction of new libraries, community centers, construction of bio methanation plant, construction of ETPs in cow sheds, providing 24 hours water, providing modern urban amenities in rural areas, maintenance of EWS colonies, vending zones. Mayor Kuldeep Kumar announced to start a strong grievance redressal system.
Speaking during the closing speech, Mayor Kuldeep Kumar said that I thank all the officers of the Municipal Corporation, who worked day and night to complete this budget with us. He said that in the near future we will make Chandigarh the number 1 city in the world and provide better facilities to the residents of the city.
On this occasion, Chairman and Co-incharge of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Chandigarh Dr. SS Ahluwalia while congratulating the city residents on the budget presented by Kuldeep Kumar, the first mayor of AAP and Congress alliance, said that Aam Aadmi Party is a party of honest people. The Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi and Punjab has fulfilled all the pre-election promises made to the people and has proved that the Aam Aadmi Party is committed to the welfare of the common people. Chandigarh city will also be taken to the heights of development in the near future and Chandigarh will be made the number 1 city.
