Moga Police achieve major success in Anti-Drug Campaign, two arrested with heroin

The Moga police team has achieved significant success in the ongoing campaign against drugs led by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav. Two individuals, Karamvir Kaur alias Kirana and Akashdeep Singh alias Nicka Vjon, were arrested, and a case was registered against them.

The police recovered 310 grams of heroin, ₹40,000 in drug money, and two illegal weapons, including a 30-bore pistol and a 315-bore country-made pistol, from the duo who were traveling in a Hyundai i10 car.

Notably, the accused, Karamvir Kaur alias Kirana, has a history of involvement in criminal activities, with five previous cases registered against her. Akashdeep Singh alias Nicka Vjon, on the other hand, has one previous case against him. The police are now investigating the source of the heroin and the purpose of the illegal weapons.

DSP Sukhamrit Pal Singh stated that DGP Punjab, Gaurav Yadav (IPS), is continuously running a special campaign against drugs across the state. As part of this campaign, the CIA team of Moga recently achieved a major success. The arrest of these two individuals is a significant blow to the drug trade in the region, and the police are committed to eradicating this menace
