Derabassi: In a shocking incident, Today a car suddenly caught fire while moving on a flyover in Derabassi. The fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Three children were sitting in the car at the time when it suddenly got engulfed in flames.
When the fire broke out, the car driver took the children out of the car safely. On receiving the information, the fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
According to the information received, driver Sanjeev was taking the children of Chandigarh Sector 45 from Chandigarh to Ambala. When he reached the flyover near DAV School, smoke started coming out of the car. He took the three children out of the car safely and informed the fire brigade.
Even before the arrival of the fire brigade, people tried to control the fire. Passersby tried to extinguish the fire but on receiving information, the fire brigade team reached the spot. The fire was brought under control and children along with driver were evaluated safely.
According to preliminary investigation, the reason behind why car caught fire is yet to be ascertained. Police and fire department have started investigating the matter. Due to the prompt action of fire brigade personnel, the fire was soon brought under control and all the passengers were rescued safely.
