Navjot Sidhu and others meet Punjab Governor, requests independent audit on financial situation

Chandigarh: Congress Leader Navjot Singh Sidhu along with Samsher Singh Dullo and MS Kaypee, Sardar Lal Singh and Gautam Seth met Punjab Governor Banwari and presented a memorandum.

Later while sharing information about their meeting, Navjot Singh Sidhu in a post on X said that they met Punjab governor and requested for an independent audit evaluation by a group of financial experts on punjab’s deteriorating financial situation. Navjot Singh Sidhu also addressed a press conference following the meeting with governor.

While addressing the press conference, Navjot Singh Sidhu attacked the government over financial situation of state. He said that evaluation of the financial situation in the state should be done by the experts.

Sidhu today was accompanied by Former PPCC Chiefs Shamsher Singh Dullo and MS Kaypee. Shamsher Singh Dullo accused Punjab government of breaking its promise and destabilizing the financial situation of the state. He even added that MLAs of opposition parties are being intimidated and forced to Join AAP.

Today Sidhu backed PPCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and said those leaving congress have no right to blame the party president. He said that true character of such leaders is revealed during difficult times.

On contesting elections, he cleared that he will not contest Lok Sabha elections. “If I had to contest the Lok Sabha elections, I would have contested from Kurukshetra. I also left the Rajya Sabha seat for the same reason because I don’t want to leave Punjab”, said Sidhu.
