Chandigarh : After winning the battle of Lok Sabha elections, now Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring is going to organize Lok Milni program. He will start it from today i.e. Friday. Under this program, he will sit in Congress Bhawan from 11 am to 1 pm. Also, if anyone wants to meet him, he will meet him.
In this program, he will listen to people’s problems and suggestions. This is a new initiative of Congress after the elections. This time he contested the Lok Sabha elections from Ludhiana, in which he defeated BJP leader and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu.
Congress has won seven seats
After the Lok Sabha election results, there is enthusiasm in Congress. In the elections, Congress has emerged as the largest party in the state. Out of the 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state, Congress has won seven. While the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has got three, independent two and one seat to Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
BJP has not even been able to open its account in the elections. However, the vote percentage of BJP has doubled. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, it was around nine percent, which has now increased to more than 19 percent.
Focusing on Jalandhar by-election
Apart from this, the party is now focusing on the by-election of Jalandhar West. Senior party leaders have held a meeting regarding the elections in Jalandhar. All the leaders including Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa had reached there.
Soon the party will announce the candidate for Jalandhar. However, this time the party has high hopes from Jalandhar seat. Because former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has won the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat.
He has defeated BJP’s Sushil Kumar Rinku by more than one lakh votes. In such a situation, the morale of the party is high. Also, it is expected that this time the party will win this seat as well.
