Ludhiana: A newly married woman died last night in Ludhiana. The woman was married 4 months ago. She had returned home late at night from a birthday party in the neighborhood. Suddenly, the people around called her husband and informed him about the woman’s hanging. The woman had hanged herself with a hook in the room. The deceased woman’s name is Sapna (19). She is originally from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
Giving information, Sanjeev said that he lives in a rented room near Mittal Kante near Dhandari Giaspura. He had married Sapna about 4-5 months ago. Late in the evening, a child’s birthday was in the neighborhood where sapna had gone.
He called her from the birthday party and asked her to cook food and give it to him because he had to go to work. Sapna cooked food and also packed tiffin. When he reached the factory, the neighbor’s called him and informed about Sapna’s death. Upon reaching the spot, they found Sapna hanging from the hook. The door of the room was broken and her body was taken down from the hook.
Sanjeev said that he asked several people to inform the police and call an ambulance but no one helped him. He somehow took his wife to the civil hospital himself but the doctors declared her dead. Sapna’s sister has been informed about the incident. Since the matter is suspicious, the police will also investigate the matter.
