Ludhiana, June 20: A case was registered 4 days ago in Ludhiana after an obscene video of the Baba went viral on social media, but the accused Baba is still absconding. This video is of Shankra Nand, Mukhi of Bhuri Wala Dera located in Talwandi Khurd village in Jagraon.
In the video, the head of the Dera is seen in an objectionable position with a woman. People of Talwandi village and other nearby areas will meet the Deputy Commissioner to get Baba arrested and the Dera closed.
The complainant said- the police took action as a formality
The police have taken action in the case on the complaint of Hardeep Singh. A case has been registered against the accused Baba Shankra Nand for hurting religious sentiments. However, the address of the accused is shown as unknown in the FIR.
Complaint submitted and demand for investigation of the case
Sikh organizations have demanded an investigation of the ashram built in the camp and strict action. Police are being accused of suppressing the case. Complainants say that police have done the formality by filing a brief FIR. Looking at the seriousness of the case, the local community is demanding strict action.
Giving information, Jasminder Singh Saran said that all the companions of Baba who live in the camp should be tested. The children who have been kept in the camp should be medically tested. Jaswinder said that the property of Baba Shankra Nand Bhuri Wala and his companions should also be checked.
Sikh organizations submitted a complaint to SSP Jagraon and demanded an investigation into the matter. A case has been registered against Baba in Thana Dakha. The head of Haryana Dera has removed Shankra Nand from the throne. The Dera also has a Bal Ashram, where the safety of girls is a matter of concern. Baba has been involved in controversies earlier as well, including the case of beating a woman and the escape of a mentally challenged girl.
