Punjab: On Saturday, the entire village was seen painted in green color in the protest that has been going on for the last 40 days to close the biogas factory in Jagraon. Greenery was visible all around, this greenery was on the heads of the people who participated in the protest. Some had a green turban and some had a green scarf.
According to the information, hundreds of men, women, youth and children of the village participated with full enthusiasm in the day and night protest against the construction of a biogas factory in Akhada village. During this, the pandal was decorated with the greenery of green turbans and green dupattas. Workers of rural units of Bharatiya Kisan Union Dakaunda joined under the leadership of Block President Tarsem Singh Basuwal.
Addressing the huge gathering, State President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Dakaunda Manjit Singh Dhaner said that the people of Akhada have made the issue of environment a serious agenda. And have actually protected the words of the Guru to save life, earth, air and water. Congratulating the people of Akhara for this unity, he said that the entire Punjab will have to unite to save agriculture.
Revolutionary Center Punjab leader Kanwaljit Khanna congratulated the people of Akhara.
