Paddy Transplnattaion to begin from today, CM Mann to chair review meeting

Chandigarh: The paddy season is starting in Punjab from today. In such a situation, people should not face any electricity-related problems. For this, CM Bhagwant Mann himself has become active. He has called a meeting of officials related to the electricity department in Chandigarh today at 12 noon. The meeting will be held in the secretariat.

Canal water will be released in 6 districts

Canal water will be released in 6 districts today for the paddy season in the state. Canal water will be available in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Mansa and Bathinda from today.

At the same time, the government has appealed to the people to use canal water as much as possible. Cleaning of canals and other works have already been completed.

According to the notification issued by the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of Punjab, paddy transplantation will start from today in Malwa region, apart from District Muktsar Sahib, Faridkot, Mansa, Bathinda, Fazilka, Ferozepur, across the barbed wire of the national border.

Whereas last year paddy transplantation in Malwa started from June 16. The date for transplanting paddy in the remaining districts of the state has been fixed from 15th June. Whereas last year, transplanting of paddy in the last phase started from 21st June in 9 districts.
