Patiala Police has averted a sensational inter-rivalry crime by arresting three operatives of a foreign-based absconding Gangster Gurwinder Singh alias Gurbaj. The arrested operatives were actively involved in arms trafficking, extortion, and other criminal activities.
Preliminary investigation revealed that they were tasked to carry target killing of a rival member of the Goldy Dhillon Gang at the direction of Gurbaj.
As per police, the absconding gangster Gurbaj is in Portugal and was the mastermind behind the firing incident at sector 5, Chandigarh.
FIR has been lodged at PS Rajpura, Patiala and further investigation is being carried out.
