Patiala: In a shocking incident from Pantara Patiala, Robbers entered the house of a businessman and looted Rs 30 lakh. The businessman had kept this money at home for the treatment of his ailing child. The masked robbers had sharp weapons and pistols in their hands and robbed the businessman by holding him hostage in his house.
Patiala based Businessman named Sanjeev said that he was sleeping at home with his family at night when the robbers climbed the wall of the house and entered inside. After entering the house, they took him and his family hostage. They put a weapon on his head and looted Rs 30 lakh lying in his cupboard.
Demand of Rs 50 lakh on Gunpoint
Grocery businessman Sanjeev said that the robbers had entered the house around 2.30 in the night. The robbers said that if Rs 50 lakh were not paid, they would kill him along with his family. To save himself and his family, he gave away Rs 30 lakh kept in his cupboard for the treatment of the child.
Police checking CCTV
The robbers took away Rs 30 lakh in cash as well as everyone’s mobile phones. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started the investigation. The police have taken possession of the footage from CCTV cameras installed nearby and have started analyzing it. Police have claimed that the robbers will be caught soon.
